ReachSound. Art released the release of the German composer Johann Mattheson (Johann Mattheson; 1681 - 1764,) with fugues for Obligato Harpsihord. The music of I. Mattezon deserves fame compared with the glory of his younger colleague George Friedrich Handel. It was I. Madison, who wrote the opera Boris Godunov in 1710 on his own libretto, which became the first opera on a Russian story. For political reasons, it was not staged in Europe and was performed only in 2007 thanks to the Early Music festival and the ensemble “Catherine the Great Soloists”. Clavier fugues, recently released on all world digital sites in the Russian Early Music series, were written by I. Matteson for Grand Duke Peter Feodorovich.
It was in the performance of Irina Shneerova, one of the participants in the wonderful ensemble “Soloists of Catherine the Great”, and this unique in the sense of a rare repertoire, excellent performance, fantastic recording quality was realized.
