Soloist of the Mariinsky Theater since the 2019-20 season.

The current 2020-21 season began for Maria Bayankina with participation in the premiere of a new production of Rimsky-Korsakov's opera The Snow Maiden (Kupava, September 2020, conductor Valery Gergiev), as well as a recital from romances by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theater (accompanist - Anatoly Kuznetsov, October 2020)

The last season of 2019-2020 was marked for the singer with significant international events: debut as Francesca da Rimini in a concert performance of Rachmaninoff's opera at the Concertgebouw (September 2019, Amsterdam, conductor Stanislav Kochanovsky), debut at the Bolshoi Theater as Nastasya Filippovna in I Weinberg's opera (November 2019, Moscow), as Tatiana Larina in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin at the Rome Opera (February-March 2020, conductor James Conlon).

Together with the opera troupe of the Mariinsky Theater conducted by Valery Gergiev, Maria Bayankina took part in the collective's grand tour of Asia, performing as Maria in Tchaikovsky's opera Mazepa at the NCPA, China's largest concert hall and at Suntory Hall in Japan (November 2019). The singer made two brilliant debuts this season at the Mariinsky Theater - as Fevronia in The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevronia by Rimsky-Korsakov and as Renata in the legendary production of Prokofiev's opera The Fiery Angel, which was returned to the theater stage.

The 2018-19 season left its mark with significant debut works by Maria Bayankina in Tchaikovsky's Mazepa (Maria, conductor - Valery Gergiev, the performance was broadcast on the international TV channel MEZZO), as well as debut in the most difficult role of Minnie at the premiere of Puccini's Girls from the West (conductor - Valery Gergiev). At the Martha Argerich Festival in Hamburg, the singer performed as a soloist in Stravinsky's Les Noces (conducted by Charles Dutoit).

She made her debut at the Mariinsky Theater in 2013 as Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata directed by Valery Gergiev. Significant career milestones were the main roles in the premiere performances of Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky (director - Alexei Stepanyuk, conductor - Valery Gergiev, 2014) and Weinberg's The Idiot (director - Alexei Stepanyuk, conductor - Thomas Sanderling, 2016).

The singer's repertoire at the Mariinsky Theater includes leading soprano roles: Violetta Valerie (La Traviata), Tatiana Larina (Eugene Onegin), The Countess (The Marriage of Figaro), Iolanta (Iolanta), Corinna (Journey to Reims) , Rusalka ("Mermaid"), Volkhova ("Sadko"), Donna Anna ("The Stone Guest"), Nastasya Filippovna ("The Idiot"), Liza Brichkina ("The Dawns Here Are Quiet"), Dunyasha ("The Station Keeper"), Kuma Nastasya (The Enchantress), Militrisa (The Tale of Tsar Saltan), Kupava (The Snow Maiden), Aida (Aida), Minnie (The Girl from the West), Fevronia (The Legend of the Maiden Fevronia and the Invisible city ​​of Kitezh "), Renata" Fiery Angel ".
